About the Topic:
Many are confused what is the difference between Web2 and Web3 and why concepts like Blockchain, CryptoCurrencies, NFTs, Metaverse and DAO are getting many Brands and Companies scared and overly excited that massive investments are being poured into platforms or initiatives that doesn’t seem to make any business or common sense? In this section, we will learn what these ‘terms’ are and what are real opportunities/threats or just temporarily disruptions.
About the Speaker:
Ms Akina Ho
Akina has over 20 years of experience in change management, innovative technology, consulting, finance, hospitality and global sales operations management experience starting from the Silicon Valley to worldwide. She is now leading a new department at Great Eagle to execute digital transformation and innovation at the group level and across all subsidiaries globally. She is also starting a new startup building a marketplace for experiences in Web3 (Metaverse & NFT). She is part of the Investment Committee that evaluate start-ups in cutting-edge technology and disruptive business model across different industries. She is the Head of Global Business Consultancy and Lead Ambassador for Asia at the AllStarsWomen NFT Club & DAO, a Board Member of Hong Kong PropTech Association (HKPTA) and an Advisor to BEETc. She was one of the Executive that helped a built a Unicorn in Hong Kong 2017 with investors from FoxConn and Softbank. Akina is a respected guest speaker, panelist and guest professor with notable media appearances on Bloomberg and Fox International. She covers leading technologies business impact and concept around NFT, metaverse, digital transformation, big data, security, digital marketing, HR, IoT, Customer Experience, ESG, and others.
