Dr. Jacky Ting currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With over 15 years of experience, he has led digital transformation and AI innovation initiatives spanning business and technology spheres, holding notable leadership positions at AS Watson Group, Cognizant Technology Solutions, and PCCW Solutions.
Dr. Ting earned his PhD from PolyU, specializing in AI, Medical Informatics, and Data Mining. His research is centered on leveraging emerging technologies—such as AI, big data analytics, Web3, and the Internet of Things—to elevate customer experiences and enhance business performance. In addition to his professional endeavors, he contributes to the community as a judge for the HKICT Awards under Digital Policy Office and the international Stevie Awards since 2022..
In recent years, Dr. Ting’s AI innovations have garnered international acclaim, including the Gold Stevie® Award for AI Rising Star of the Year (2026), the Silver Stevie® Award for AI Innovator of the Year (2026), and multiple medals from the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (2024–2026), notably receiving the Gold Medal with Jury Congratulations in 2026 for his Warehouse Genie solution. He has been recognized as Project Manager of the Year (2023) and has participated in esteemed programs like the IoT Heroes Program and Marquis Who’s Who in the World®.
Dr. Ting’s research and development contributions have been featured at international conferences and published in over 30 refereed journals, showcasing his dedication to advancing AI-driven innovation and promoting knowledge sharing.
