Special Seminar: Managing Life as a Project
Most people manage projects at work with precision – timeliness, budget, risks logs, and reviews. Yet when it comes to their own lives, they wing it. The result is chronic overwhelm, burnout, missed goals, and the nagging feeling that they are busy and not productive. This seminar takes proven project management principles – critical path, scope control, resource allocation, risk mitigation and continuous improvement and applies them directly to personal life design. It’s more of a sharing and discussion among the participants on how to manage your life like a project. The speaker will share her experience (the wins and the setbacks) and facilitate discussion on what it takes to design your own life.

Christine Yau is an accomplished executive leader with a proven track record of driving digital transformation, managing complex P&L operations, and shaping technology strategy across international markets. As the Co-Founder and Managing Director of CAPE Consulting and Solutions Limited, she steers strategic initiatives that help businesses navigate complex technological landscapes and scale across the Asia-Pacific region.
Throughout her distinguished career, Christine has occupied pivotal C-suite roles. At LPS, she has served as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Communications, successfully aligning emerging ecosystem partnerships with revenue-driven business objectives. Previously, she was the acting Chief Information Officer at MTR Corporation Ltd., overseeing the robust information architecture for one of the world’s leading public transit systems. She was the Senior Vice President at PCCW Solutions before joining MTR looking after the Public Industry Markets in Hong Kong. An expert in market expansion, she has successfully led large cross-functional teams to secure major public tenders and establish regional offices in Singapore and Malaysia.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Christine is a pillar of the regional technology ecosystem:
• Project Management Institute (PMIHK): Served as Chapter President (2019–2025), modernizing infrastructure with the Single Membership model and founding Region 9’s first Student Club. Currently represents the Asia Pacific Student Engagement Team.
• Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS): Council Member (2017–2023) and past Chairperson of FACE (2020–2024), where she spearheaded initiatives to champion women in ICT.
• Public & Academic Governance: Serves as Chairperson of the Departmental Advisory Committee for Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong (2023–2027), a panellist for HKSAR Innovation and Technology assessment boards, and an international judge for the APICTA Awards.
