For immediate release : PMI HK Asia Pacific Project Management Congress 2012

The Hong Kong Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMIHK) will host the Asia Pacific Project Management Congress 2012 to advocate Project Management (PM) as a profession and upgrade the relevant PM standards on 2 – 3 November 2012 at the Cyberport.
The theme for this year’s Congress is “Maximizing Business Benefits in a Dynamic & Changing Environment” as the ever changing business environment has elevated risk management challenges to a new height, and managing the change has become critical to the success of projects. The Congress will feature an opening speech by Mr. Daniel LAI, Government Chief Information Officer, Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) of The Government of the HKSAR. Mr Tai-Chong CHEW, Projects Director, MTR Corporation Ltd., will deliver a keynote speech as the Guest of Honor of the Congress. 
This must-attend event will provide an opportunity to network, share and learn from industry experts who will discuss the value of leveraging project management as a core competency and share insights in the successful applications of PM concepts, methodologies and techniques, with relevant case studies on enhancing the business performance under the current fluctuating and “risky” global environment.
Keynote speeches and breakout sessions will also include speakers from ATAL Analogue Holdings Limited, City University of Hong Kong, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), Midland Realty, The Hong Kong Airport Authority, Hong Kong Jockey Club, HP Enterprise Services, China Construction Bank (Asia) and Tsinghua University, as well as representatives from various PMI Asia chapters.

Greater China Project Management Advancement Committee (GPAC) was established in 2003 by members of Institute of Beijing Zhong Ke Project Management Research Center at Tsinghua University, members of the PMI Taiwan Chapter, and members and Advisors of the PMI HK Chapter. The objective of GPAC is to establish closer working relationship with professional PM bodies in Greater China region to promote PM competency with a long term goal in agreeing on a mutually recognized PM certification in Greater China region.

2012年度亞太地區項目管理大會
掌握變化      創造價值

項目管理專業學會香港分會將於2012年11月2至3日,於香港數碼港舉辦2012年度亞太地區項目管理大會,藉以提升項目管理的專業性及有關水平。

今年大會的主題為「掌握變化創造價值」, 在現今變化不斷的商業環境,風險管理已成為項目經理的一大挑戰,而變更管理更成為項目成功的關鍵。 我們特別邀請了香港特別行政區政府資訊科技總監賴錫璋先生致開幕辭。港鐵公司工程總監周大滄先生亦應邀出席為大會主禮嘉賓作主題演講。

這會議提供了一個寶貴的機會及平台給項目管理界的專家互相分享及學習。他們會探討項目管理作為核心競爭力的價值,以及透過一些在目前全球波動環境下仍能提升業務表現的相關案例,分享如何能成功地實際利用項目管理的概念、方法和技巧。
